Question before purchase.
I am interested in purchasing forum software for my site, but I need it to be integrated with my Zen Cart store. I have been looking through forums for hours on this subject and I am not getting anywhere, just a bunch of old links and incomplete answers. I Know that this has been asked before, but as far as I can tell, nobody has given a complete answer.
Here is my question: Is there some way to integrate my Zen Cart store with the vBulletin forum so my customers/members only have to register once at either my store or forum, and are able to use both the forum and store with the same user name? Basically, I want my members to register only once and use both my vBulletin forum and Zen Cart store with the same user name. I need to keep Zen Cart, as I have it modded to give my customers reward points on their purchases, and too many customers have already accumulated points to change cart systems now. I just want to know if this is possible, and if it is possible, is there a mod to do this? Thanks in advance for your help! Jordin |
No you cannot integrate vBulletin and Zen Cart. vBulletin is a sealed box or to complex for any 3rd party script to flawlessly integrate with the database.
You might beable to hire a freelance vBulletin coder here, and they might attempt to prgram you a Zen Cart script for a nice chunk of cash. |
It is possible - it's just a matter of how much effort/coding/cost is put into it.
