is it worth upgrading from http to https and paying the extra money

will it prevent hackers from attacking my site

is it worth the extra money

do you know a well secured server that will provide me with a good hosting plane which more secure

No it only prevents people from stealing data being sent over the internet. If you are having hacking issues you should look into what is causing it.

vBulletin should work over HTTPS. However, as mentioned, it will not prevent "hackers" in the context you are using it. HTTPS prevents "man-in-the-middle" hack attacks.
