deny users posting links from certain websites
 

Hi

How do i deny people posting links from certain websites?

allot of my users are posting usercash, linkbucks tipe of links on my website
and i would like to deny these links from getting posted and even removing all these links
that was posted

I hope someone can help

You could put them in the word censor filter. Or use Replacement Variables to change the link.

this isnt going to work .. this only replaces the link and i will end up with loads
if useless threads.

It should deny a link being posted when a user submit a new thread. I have seen this
on another forum. A pop-up window with a message appears saying these links is banned
and isnt allowed to be posted. Membes have to remove these links first before the submition
can go ahead

Any other ideas?

If you've seen it on another website, send an email to the admin and ask them the name of the modification.

I did, but he doesnt reply to my messages

You mentioned that i sould place the url in the banned words section in the admin panel
but my banned words section dont work because i can add word like:

mydomain
mydomain.com
http://www.mydomain.com

and use it in a new post and it allows it.. it doesnt show me an error message or what ever
its suppose to do isnt be done

I got a coder to code me a mod to ban certain website links from being posted.
It works 100%.

I add all the websites i want to ban in a list in the admin panel and when someone post a
thread with the banned site it shows them a error message the website is banned and should remove the link or ells he wont be able to post the thread.

Im really happy, it makes my work on my forum so much easier
