RSS bot stopped posting in New Forum

I recently deleted a forum where I had an automated RSS bot posting blog entries as threads. it had worked perfectly and although I'd deleted that particular forum I still wanted to utilize the feed, just in a different forum. So I went into the RSS feed manager and changed to the appropriate forum in the drop down menu and clicked save. I went back to the forum and saw that no posts had been auto-made (had the bot fetch last 3). again to the feed manager and tried clicking the 'Reset' checkbox at the top of the options (not the Reset button at the bottom yet) and then save. The feed manager showed "-" as the last time checked, so I also tried clicking the button 'Run scheduled tasks now' but that also didn't work. If I click 'preview feed' it pulls the last three posts as expected but when I click save it just doesn't do anything. it seems like I'm forgetting some small step to make it work, but I can't figure it out! :( any advice would be great.

Did you make sure the user that is posting the RSS feed has permission to post in the new forum?

I set up dummy user accounts specifically to post each RSS feed, and following your advice I went into each of the users Forum permissions and changed each of them to 'Yes' for the appropriate forum where they'll be posting (it was on default). I also went back and clicked the 'Run Scheduled Tasks' button in the RSS manager but it still doesn't show a last checked time and didn't make any posts. The information is still correct and visible there, such as their source URL, forum name and user name, but it doesn't seem to want them to post after I switched to the new forum (which was an already existing forum).

Try deleting the rss feed entry and then create a new one.

that did the trick, thanks! :)
