How to save orginal PHP file

hi,
when we try to save/download a .php file from a server (like- http://address/file.php) it autometically changed into html code.
I mean, we cant get the orginal php file with orginal code.

is there any way to save/download orginal .php file ??

You need to ftp to the site and then download the files. You cannot get the original php file just by putting the url into your browser.
