Login Issue
Hello Friends,
I purchase vBulletin 2 days ago. Now i have installed it on my server! But some members reported me that they cannot login. After entering username and password, they can see redirecting window after after coming again on index it ask for login again. Is there any cache system or like that ? Does vBulletin store pages ? If yes please tell me how to disable it! Please help me ! :( Thanks Mandar |
To troubleshoot this, please create a new Style with no Parent set. Now browse the forum using this new style, do you still have the same problems? If you are troubleshooting login or guest issues, you will need to set this style as board default in the vBulletin Options.

Thank you for replying. But i think its not that issue. I meant to say that pages are not refreshing ! They are loading faster but changes that i am making are not reflecting :(
Thats why i was asking it is there any caching system to reduce server load ? If yes how to disable it .. thanks |
clear your browser cache. or try a different browser. I have this problem all the time with Opera and sometimes with firefox. Not sure what your login problem is but it might be browser cache too.

Yeah it is cache problem ! Site works gr8 on Firefox :( Other browsers are giving login problems !
|
Are you allowing users to get to your site via both www.yoursite.com and just yoursite.com? That may cause problems when they try to login. Have your host change it so all traffic goes to just one of those (ie. if they initially put yoursite.com into their browser window, the url changes to www.yoursite.com) and then make sure you use that one in vboptions > Site Name/etc.

Yeah i have done that ! :) But still google chrome and safari browsers are not supporting ! I think its browsers problem !
|
A url to try this out and a test username/password would help. That way someone here can test this out and maybe see what the problem is.

Username : Test Password : test123 Thanks for replying :) You can see that browsers are storing files and thats why users can't login ! |
Create a new style with no parent - Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style > no parent - then try to login using Safari or Opera. Do you still have the same problem?
