How to make subscriptions?

Hi guys,

Maybe someone can help me...
I always used phpBB but now that Im in vbulletin, Im a little confuse.

Can someone tell me how to create a paid forum? with subscription...
For example, I have the following forums:
- Forum 1
- Forum 2
- Forum 3

And I want to make Forum 2 acessible only to members that have paid.
Can someone tell me all the steps that I need to make? I need to put Forum 2 as Private? Or not? What I need to do?

Please help! Thank you!

vB > Admin > Forum Manager

Where it says "Edit Forum" click the arrow next to it and click "View Permissions". From there you will be able to edit the permissions of Usergroups (such as being able to view the forum or not)

Edit: Make a Usergroup (eg VIP), and set-up subsciptions from the Admin CP so that when someone subscribes they are put into the VIP usergroup. Make sure that only the VIP usergroup along with Admins, Super Mods and Mods only have viewing permission for that forum

Hi phantom15,
Thank you for your reply!

But I cant see in there how to make a paid forum.
Can you be more specific please?

Thank you :)

Go to your "Usergroup Manager" and create a user group such as Premium or VIP.

Then from your Admin CP along the left hand side you should see "Paid Subscriptions". Click this and set-up a subscription so that when a user subscribes it put them in the Premium/VIP usergroup.

Once you have done that you must follow the instruction of my first post. That is, go to Forum Manager then click View Permissions on the forum you want and then make sure that only the usergroups Admin, Super Mods, Mods and Premium/VIP have permission to view that forum.

Thank you so much phantom15!

And how the user pays? to have access in that forum?
I need to write a description in that special forum? And what is the link to user pays?

Thank you and sorry for my poor english :)

Once you have done everything I have said, then you user can pay to subscribe at the link:
http://yoursite.com/forum/payments.php

Change that URL to whatever your site is and where your forum root is located.
