PHP code error.

Hello fellow members.

I've been getting this odd message for quite a while.. And I was wondering if there was a way to actually stop it..

When I try to edit any CSS (Colors, Coding, Etc) It gives me this message:

This error can sometimes occur as a result of Suhosin / Hardened PHP being installed on your server. If you know that you have Suhosin running and you have access to the PHP configuration, try increasing the value of the following variables:

* php_value suhosin.post.max_vars
* php_value suhosin.request.max_vars

How do I resolve this problem?

Until the answer, I can not edit any css in the forum, Which is a big downfall.

Thanks.

You would do exactly what the message says to do:
Quote:

try increasing the value of the following variables:

* php_value suhosin.post.max_vars
* php_value suhosin.request.max_vars
You may have to contact your host to do this.

Add or edit an .htaccess file in your root forum directory and add these lines to it:
Code:

php_flag suhosin.cookie.encrypt Off
php_value suhosin.request.max_vars 2048
php_value suhosin.post.max_vars 2048

I am the server administrator for the person that posted this topic and I added the .htaccess file to the forum root. I get this message though

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@freerealmsfansite.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

This is what my .htaccess file is

PHP Code:

<?php
php_flag suhosin
.cookie.encrypt Off
php_value suhosin
.request.max_vars 2048
php_value suhosin
.post.max_vars 2048
?>

I do not have access to the php files since it is a shared host. Am I doing something wrong?

No PHP tags - the commands are not PHP. They affect the PHP configuration. It should just be the snippet I posted.

Your the server administrator but its a shared host? :boggled:

If you still get a ISE you need to contact the webhost and request they modify their suhosin configuration.
