Thought for added spam protection
 

I had this thought this morning and am thinking about creating something for it. Human assisted spamming appears to be taking off, I have tried both the Nospam and Vb's default anti spam functions and though they help it doesn't stop a human assisted spammer.

From what I can tell the human basically sets up an account, verifies and then sets the bot loose and forgets about it. So what I am thinking is to add a captcha to posts/replies on a usergroup basis. This usergourp would then have a promotion on it, so for example after 5 or 10 posts they would get promoted to a group where the captcha is not enabled.

It's a trade off because you don't want your users to have to fill out a captha for every post but if it were made to be fairly simple and short term I bet it wouldn't be a problem, maybe also add a notification for that group so they know it's only temporary.
