Not a bad idea, I've always wanted to see a working "Reply before vote" mod. So they must reply to the poll thread before being allowed to vote.

I had a need for a similar mod to protect a poll.
But instead of the number of posts required, I wanted everyone to have have had a join date of more than 30 days so people couldn't get friends to vote and stuff the ballot box. In addition I use Sakera's Hide Poll Results to hide the votes until the poll was over.

I created a special usergroup called registered30 and promoted those with more than 30 days registered to the group. Then created a new category where only those in registered30 could vote.

Not meaning to take away anything from this mod. I think it's a good idea.
I'm only suggesting that days registered may be a good addition.
