How would I go about changing thew post indicator column into images relevant to each forum? And having it display a black and white image when no posts are new and a coloured image when there are new posts?

first one: Use the $forumid variable to make it forum-dependable:

eg:

picture$forumid.gif

when it's forumid 1 then the picture will be: picture1.gif

I'm not sure what you mean with your 2nd question...Which post-indicators do you mean exactlye?
