Automatic links

For example, I want to make my forum have automatic links. So when a user posts a particular word, that world will be turned into a link. So for example:

Someone posts:
Los Angeles Lakers

It turns into:
Los Angeles Lakers

I'm sure there's a modification for this, I just don't know where to start.
