Changing the width of the board

I've got an additional border around the board but I can't figure out how to change the width of it.

See it here: http://www.westisbest.net

Here is my Header code:

Code:

<!-- logo -->
<a name="top"></a>
<table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr>
        <tr align="center"><td align="$stylevar[center]"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
        <td align="$stylevar[center]" id="header_right_cell" >
                <if condition="$ad_location['ad_header_logo']">$ad_location[ad_header_logo]<else />&nbsp;</if>
        </td>
</tr></tr>
</table>
<!-- /logo -->

<!-- nav buttons bar -->
<div class="tborder" style="padding:$stylevar[cellspacing]px; border-top-width:0px">
        <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%" align="center">

You need to change your tborder size setting in your template to 90%.

dalzzy 11-30-2008 04:44 AM

I did it but it hasn't changed anything :(

ZomgStuff 11-30-2008 04:49 AM

Oh, to change that outside border you change the .body margin CSS for the template.

Your's is currently set to "margin:5px 20px 20px;"

dalzzy 11-30-2008 04:56 AM

Thanks :) Do you know what I should change it to to bring it inline with the rest of the board? I'm not sure what the 5px, 20px, 20px mean :(

ZomgStuff 11-30-2008 04:58 AM

They are the margin properties for top, right, bottom, and left in that order.

dalzzy 11-30-2008 05:06 AM

Thank you! It worked!!! :)

ZomgStuff 11-30-2008 05:07 AM

If you change those properties, the rest of the page will shrink proportionally so you'll have to edit your "page" class in your template to be 100% instead of the default 90%, then change your navbar width manually to 96%, then you'll have to somehow change your navbar to 90% and get it centered , and then set your .body CSS margin to "0px 25px".

It's a bit tricky, and whoever designed that skin didn't do a very good job.

edit: You can probably ignore this post as maybe I am trying to do something else with that skin other than what you are trying to do.

Sorry to bother again, but would you know how I could change the below? It seems to be doubling up on the border on left and right hand sides of that table.
