Change your forum icons to something more personal or brandable... now it's easy and possible ;)

the main page theme is wordpress.
i am not good with changing the buttons etc would be good to get someone to help me out.

I'd make the forum look like the front end or the front end look like the forum.
(I think making the forum like the front end is better. :))

That's because when you go to the forums, the environment changes, drastically. Make it so the users feel comfortable and recognize the site.
