Moderator Question

I am wanting to make one of my users a Moderator

I put them in the Moderator usergroup...but they are unable to close, move, edit other threads...

How do I set the permissions?

AdminCP > Forums & Moderators > Forum Manager

On the right side of the page, see where it says "Moderators"? Add them to the forums you want them to moderate.

I think that will get you what you want.

If you want them to moderate the whole forum put them in the super moderator group.

but wouldnt they have access to edit others profiles (including mine)

They cannot edit your profile if you have your userid listed in the config.php file under the Undeleteable/Unalterable Users area. Also, you can edit the Moderators permissions under Forums & moderators > Show all Moderators > Edit
