The solid white footer looks pretty out of place.

The icons don't really match the niche of the forum.

The white gives a ton of contrast, maybe try a gradient for alt1 and alt2

Side bar for advertisements looks out of place, and the style doesn't stretch across my screen properly leaving a huge area of empty space

Logo's out of place, there's a big space at the top, forums are missing descriptions, there is no intro (default one doesn't count), etc...
