staff only login

Im looking for a way to let only my mods / staff to be able to login and post files and info when the server set to off when we have high server loads , At this time only admins can get in and it would be very help for the rest of the staff could get in . Any help would be great

There is a modification to allow other usergroups (like your moderator usergroup) to have access when the forum is turned off.

when you turn off forums
by default admins can enter and post
I have many admins but with restricted abilities to allow this
so they are really moderators but enter forum as admins
no need to mods
also it have other adv.s

Thanks for the reply , but where is this at and how can i set it up without making them admins

search "usergroup*" in "all mods" "titles only" and you'll find this - Allow usergroups to view forum, if forum turned off.

Any questions regarding the modification should be asked in the thread.

Ok I dont mean to be a pain in the ... But Im new at this part , and I really not sure what to do or how too find that part or install it . Ive read the post from start to finish and the second to last post is saying its not working with 3.7.3 and im running the same now . So I was hoping for more info on if its still a working fix and some realy good how toooooo's Please and Thanks

Well, it's not working for me... Help!! :)

It's not working for me... I am running 3.7.3 PL1, and it takes the staff back to the off message, just like the normal off setting in the original setup.

Got any suggestions??

I have no idea if there is a fix for it as it's not a modification I have installed. It could simply not be working for the guy because he installed it incorrectly or because he didn't do the fix posted in the thread on the second page. I really don't know. You can always try it and see.

Download the modification, extract it, use the Plugin/Product manage in vbulletin, upload it.

hester, you've been here for almost two years and never installed a modification before? You might want to read up on it in the manual - Plugin System
