New install help - please read.
 

Hey, I am a newbie. If you want to help me, please read on... :D Thanks in advance for some dumb questions that you've probably already heard.

I copied the files to their right directories... and I got to this in the INSTALL text:

Now CHMOD the /arcade directory and all its subfolders to 0777

What does that mean? What is CHMOD?

I am not computer or vBulletin ILLITERATE, but I guess I don't even know the basics yet...

But you know, if it tells me to locate code and replace it and stuff I can - I just don't KNOW what CHMOD is...

Also, if you can think of any other stuff that will confuse a newbie in the install, please post info on those too...

I am really trying to get this awesome looking mod installed. Please help, I know if I knew what that meant I could keep going with the install...

i can answer this one.... when your in your ftp on your server where you uploaded the files to goto the /Arcade folder click on the folder and then right click then goto properties then goto permissions and then goto Numerical on the bottom left side and put in 777 then do that to all the folders/files it tells you to do
