virginiahotlist.com

Hi. I started http://www.virginiahotlist.com about a year ago. I have no idea about any of the programming involved. I usually go to people for help and then somehow learn little things that way. Any advise would be greatly appreciated about my site.

Some things I would like to be able to do is:

Post you tube videos.
Learn to make and install banners.
Install my logo at the top.

and anything that can attract and convince people to become a member???

Get rid of the agreement screen, it felt like a dating website. Put an introduction on the forums instead. Your logo doesn't match the forum overall, same with the theme. I suggest making it very beach-like?

Yes, get rid of that splash page or whatever it is. It is not only pointless but poorly constructed and will turn off any new visitors you may get.

I am from the back woods of Virgina and know first hand of the natural beauty of our unique state and the theme you have for your forum looks something like really no easy way to say this but some 5th grader done the graphics for some personal kiddie site and in no way reflects a grahic scheme that would promote the beauty of our state.

If you wish some help, I will loan you my graphics guy and my coder as well but not for a couple weeks.

You can see what a professional designed and graphic theme looks like here. www.gladhatter.com Now my theme would not suit your site in any way but you can see professional compared to kiddie not even novice.

All the other crap as well of click to enter and such has to go. If you wish a greeting page make it a professional one and use it for hot links and registration grabber and reminders to the visitors. Get rid of the activeX like top bar that could just as well be a trojan or other dropper code to start a root kit on some one.

Man you respectfully need some help.
