Google Adsense Section Targeting

Does anyone of you use this possibility?

Did you get a positive impact on the selection of the ads, on CTR or ECPM?

Thanks!

Marcel

I'm sure, someone of you has done that.
Perhaps the section for adsense is without user information and without signature.
But does this really help in getting better CTR?

I recommend "section targeting".
Not all sites need it though.

The idea is that Google will display ads according to keywords found within the targeted section(s). If you have a site with a lot of "junk" (ie, widgets, features, etc) than section targeting will help.

Google Adsense success only happens when ads displayed are relevant to the page subject. (The more relevant the ads are to subject the more likely your readers will click on them - CTR increases.)

Open your postbit template and find $post[message] or $message or whatever the one that controls the output of the message, and wrap it in the section targeting code.

navbits should also be targeted

Can you please give me guild on how to insert goolge adsense section targeting on my forum thread.

HTML Code:

The HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following format:

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

You can also designate sections you'd like to have ignored by adding a (weight=ignore) to the starting tag:

<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->

With these tags added to your HTML code, your final code may look like the following:

<html><head><title>Section targeting</title></head>
<body>
<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

This is the text of your webpage. Most of your content resides here.

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
</body>
</html>
