Modify Register to automatically assign to group
I have two types of users, General Users and Paid Users. The paid users are going through our shopping cart to pay and then we want to redirect them to a modified register page that signs them up to both the Gereral Users Group and the Paid Users Group.
I am fine with the way the default registration(that comes with vbulletin) works I would just like to take that one and modify it to flag the other user group too. I do not know how to code PHP, but am hoping it is just a matter of adding a hidden field in the form to check that user group. Help I need to get this done ASAP to launch the forum. Thanks, rtk |
You might want to look through the mods to see if there is something you can use there. search "regist*" "all mods" "titles only" I found this one which may help you do what you want - PB Usergroup Choice on registration

Thanks, I'll try that.
