Trying to put a URL/Link in notice - not showing up

It states you can use URL / Links in the notice:

You may include the following special variables in the HTML:
{userid}, {username}, {musername}, {sessionurl}

However I'm guessing I'm not putting my link in right. I've tried to set it up the following ways:

[sessionurl=http://Example.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1055] Click here [/sessionurl]

{sessionurl=http://Example.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1055} Click here {/sessionurl}

Sorry, not to good with Html so if it's a dumb mistake, Im' sorry for wasting a topic.

Basically I'm trying to make a link in the notice, to go to a topic on my forum.

Just use:

[url=http://Example.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1055]click here[/url]

click here

or are you trying to do something different?

Sawa Dee SohL 11-13-2008 06:00 PM

I've tried that as well, I just attempted to put this line in, with no avail:

Click here

--------------- Added [DATE]1226606465[/DATE] at [TIME]1226606465[/TIME] ---------------

HTML Code:

[url=http://thesocialrev.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1055] Click here [/url]
Sorry

I've also removed the space before 'Click' and after 'here' - so it's ]Click Here[/url - nothing.

Are you trying to make the notice title a link? That's not possible without editing templates.

You can have a link inside the notice.

Sawa Dee SohL 11-13-2008 06:56 PM

No, I'm putting it in the notice content. The title is completely different from the Notice I have set up.

Notice HTMLThis is the HTML that will be shown to visitors when the conditions set below are met.

That's the writing to the left of the box, I'm trying to put my link in.

Not quite sure how to add an attachment when you're editing a post, so I'll just have it merge to my previous post.

Here's a pic of what I see:

sorry man - I thought you meant announcement not notice!

try <a href="http://thesocialrev.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1055">Click here</a>

I warn you I have never used the notice manager!
