Point me in the right direction ?
 

Hi all,

I have two things I want to achieve and I understand the best way to do it will be to use the data managers.

1. Automatically move a thread from one forum to another.
2. Put a post in that thread.

I've done a fair bit of searching and so far i've come up with nothing thats been of much use to me.

I half hoped to find a tutorial on using the data managers but no such thing as far as I can see !

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Take a look at postings.php under the 'move' section and you'll see what vb does to move a thread using the datamanagers.

I'm not sure about the part of putting a post in the thread. I've seen a mod that puts a post in a thread you are closing, so maybe take a look at that modification.
