hook system

i was wondering if theres a list of hooks, where there located, and what are they for? I`m working on a mod but i cant find the hook that it would use to add my code. If anyone can help I would appreciate this

No, there is no such documentation. The hook names a pretty self-explanatory. What I suggest is to look at the file for which you want to modify the functionality of, find the closest hook (or two) and work with it.
