free email accounts
 
how do i limit or stop the free email account sign up..

i want people on my website to sign up with legitimate email accounts....not the free accounts...do i need some sort of hack....or is this feature controlled through the administration panel.

any contribution to this will help.....

You can ban them in the Admin CP under User Banning Options using a wildcard like this

*.Hotmail.com
*.mail.ru

There are quite a few others too listed in these forums, just do a search and you'll soom come accross them

i tried to do what you recommended......but the only problem i have with that is when "new" people try and sign up they are told that their email address has been banned. I want a way to do that but have it say that you need to use a legitimate email account. or that this forum doesnt except free email accounts in the registration process....is this possible....i remember some hack that allows this to take place. But now of course i cannot find it....thanks for your help in advance.

Change the phrase for it. Search for the phrase in the phrase manager.
