New Marketing forum and Marketplace - need review pls

Hi,

Can some fo you guys review my new forum for me? I am looking for, and opened to, any and all suggestions you may have to make the forum more appealing.

The auction forum is a work in progress so is not set up all the way yet, but it will be shortly.

Can anyone suggest specific mods for a place like this?

Here is the forum: www.marketersspaceforum.com

Btw, registered users are allowed to choose which layout they want for the theme in case some of you think it's a bit too wide.

Thanks ...

Mary

I think that for a marketting website, a much cleaner and more professional look would suite you better. Also, seems pretty stock off the bat other than the design.

Hi Gio,

Thanks for your comments.

What exactly did you mean by "much cleaner"? I don't have any ads up on the forum or other clutter so not sure what you mean there.

And what is "Stock off the bat"? Are you saying this is a standard forum?

Sorry, I just don't understand your terminology. :)

I appreciate you reviewing it, and giving me your opinion.

Thanks ...

Mary

Hello there,
Sorry I wasn't more specific. What i meant by cleaner, was in terms of your design. When I think of a marketting website i picture the professional and clean look sites such as sitepoint.com, dnforum.com, namepros.com, webmaster-talk.com, etc. have (just a few examples). The use of colors and good layout and structure combined with the cleanliness of a layout. I also imagine a front page with loads of interesting content and resources. The one you have for some reason reminds me more of a graphics forum or something of the sort. And yes, by stock i meant standard as far as it being pretty out-of-the-box as a vbulletin website.

Hope that helps!

Hey Giovanni,

Okay, now I got you.

Am working on a different theme so maybe that will help.

I thank you for you comment though. ;)
