Hi guys, i got my first spam today, well someone or somebot signing up and posting porn links. I wondered, what you use to prevent the spam posts and what you find best?

If you're using the latest version of vB, make sure you have anti-spam measures installed. Go sign up on wordpress.com and get an akismet key to input into your vB options - it's a spambuster and works well. Also add a question that has to have a typed answer or use the reCaptcha method of an image as bots haven't yet been written to get around those. It's not so easy when the spammer is a human - that's where akismet comes into its own a lot of the time.
