Private forums
Hi Guys.
I have vb integrated with phpfox and i want a separate thread that only admins can access. I have tried making one private but non admins can still access it, so it appears. How do i do this? cheers steve |
A separate thread or a separate forum (your title says forum, your post says thread). You may create a forum which only admins can access. You need to set the permissions in Forums & Moderators > Forum Permissions > Find the forum > Deny All > then set the correct permissions for the admin usergroup
|
thanks, that is what i meant :)
Sadly though members can still see it, weird. |
What makes you think members can still see it? If you hit Deny All and then only allow Admins, then only users who are a member of the Admins group (either as a primary or secondary user) can see it. Did you test this out with a test account? Maybe a mod you have installed is interferring with your permissions.

Hi. Yeah i tested it out with a non admin account. what i think might be the problem is phpfox usergroups and vb usergroups being different. Thanks for your help. Steve |
