Is this normal or weird about new forums?

I have started my own forum called www.decentdiscussions.com

First my forum was using phpbb software but since I upgraded the software to VBulletin I am having a weird problem.

I am getting 20+ registrations daily and 90% of the registrations are coming from xxx@mail.ru or xxx@gawab.com

They all are like Cheapviagra, BillingViagra, CheapPills....etc that's why I have blocked the registrations from these 2 email IDs.

But still I am having huge registrations daily and the similarity in all registrations is that they all are entering Date or Birth but leaving the Gender field box.

The new registrations are ON for few seconds and they go offline as soon as they have completed the registration.

Can anyone please help me what is going on? How can I stop these kind of robots?

Also, They are robots right?

Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks

Use a captcha on your registration form.

Oh, Thanks for pointing out that thing...

I do have a captcha enabled on the registration form but I just checked that the Captcha is NOT appearing in the form.

I checked VBulletin Options > Human Verification > It is showing everything as ON

Verify at registration: YES

I don't know what happened to the captcha.... :(

Please help me.

Edit: OK, I figured it out myself. I had enabled the Question and Answer Captcha but there were no questions...

I have set it now at "Image Verification"... Let see if it solves the problem or not.

If you are still having problems, you can step it up with this: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=151824.

You have to manually add the questions and answers to the human verification manager your self. Its by far the best method for stopping automated spammers from joining your site
