How to get an extra variable in template SHOWTHREAD?
We are gonna make some forums 'read only' for some usergroups.
The standard vB solution is to just show the 'new thread' or 'post reply' button and only send an extensive error message when someone hits the button. For our clients I find this too confusing, so I tried to hide the buttons depending on the forum permissions of the user. I found the bf_ugp_permissions in the php files, but now I want to address them in the and SHOWFORUMS templates. I tried this by editing function replace_template_variables in functions_misc.php, but without any success. Is there a (better) way to get this info in these templates? |
