Hi everyone, I am getting vB in two weeks (November 7th), and I wanted to know a few things and tell you a few things.

One, can one licence be hooked up to two vB.org accounts? If not, please tell me.

Here is what is on my shopping list that day:
vBulletin Owned
DreamHost -- It was recommened to me, but if you have a suggestion, please post. A host with more space for a small price might also work... but I might stick with Dreamhost till the site gets bigger.

Also, if you have anything you want to tell me or anything please tell me.

I am curious of how to get the smilies to display on the bottom of the "Advanced Posting" options (the bigger box), but I will have to wait till the 7th. :D

I can't wait for vBulletin, my birthday is on the 11th and I have been waiting since June when I heard of it, because my parents won't buy it before the 7th. I am getting it on the 7th because I need time to hook it up. Anyway, you will see me on and posting more when I can post in other sections except this.

I have one final question -- How long does it take to get your licence set up to vB.org and .com?

2- we can not suggest hosts, but please consider making a search about the recommended one, it does not have good reputation with vBulletin... here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11

3- the smilies in the bottom of the Editor box is a hack provided on this site... free
4- there is a tab on top of this page, called "Articles".. good place where to learn!

Can you please tell me the main problems with Dreamhost? I can't really understand them.

these are technical problems, bad management with clients, forcing to buy bigger packages to avoid problems that do not exists... a lot of small hosts with low priced packages are doing this...

take the time to find a solid host, even if it cost you a little more... 10$/m is not bad, forget about the 10$ per year with a free domain name...

we can not go with more details, you have to do the search on your own, it always depend on your own budget, tastes, kinds etc...

I know a site that runs it, and the site is fine..

Anyway, I asked the owner of another site what host they use

Would Host Monster be a good one? Do they have problems?
