Image Verification not showing on Registration! GD
1 Attachment(s)
Hello there,
I've always had a image verification for the registration process on my forum. Im not quite sure when it dissappered, or what happened exactly, but I suspect that it disappeared when I did the last update to vbulletin. In the last week or so, I've had 10 to 20 bots registering a day. I'm using GD for the image verification, and according to the phpinfo, the gd is working correctly. I have included a screenshot of the phpinfo for the gd settings and also a screenshot of the image options for vbulletin. Any help would be great! -Thanks in Advance |
What version vB are you using? How about a link to the site?

I am currently using the latest release vBulletin 3.7.3 Patch Level 1
and I have this problem on both of my sites disputeclaims.org cctvhelp.com |
Do images show up under vboptions > human verification manager > image verification options?
Also, you must have FreeType 2 support. That is probably the problem and you should ask your host to upgrade this for you. |

Yes it shows in the Human Verification manager here is a screenshot below.
Also I dont have a host, we run the server in the back also noteworthy in the phpinfo screenshot, it says the freetype is enabled |
From the looks of your admincp style, looks like u have some server issues anyways, all white like that and layout being messed up, you check your user perms lately?
You saving styles as a file? |
I've had the backend problems for ever.... for some reason it does'nt show correctly except on the google chrome browser.
I've made several threads concerning it, but never came to a solution that worked so I gave up, plus it still worked/works correctly... just no css =(. user permissions are unchanged |
Yea, looks like u have some incorrect settings in either apache or the way ur user perms/ownership are setup, that should be a easy fix, just have to find were u have it config'd incorrectly, which might also be the issue as to why the image isnt working correctly, but that would require some log viewing.

While that does make some sense, my backend has always been messed up, and my registration with the capthca has always worked.
I have'nt changed apache settings and the only files that could have been changed would have been with a update of vbulletin... and vbulletin doesn't change any apache files |
No one ever claimed vbulletin updates would change an apache setting, as i stated that is only a guess, but with your style issue, that looks to be a perm issue, but then again im not logged into your server to diagnose the issue itself, if you have perms issues i would verify that the file updates when you upgraded actually overwrote the old files.
