many problems with forum posters

Hi
we are using vb 3.6.8
sometimes some bots post threads in our forum with advertisement contents. How can I stop them? Is any way to make new thread page with capach image?

Do a search for 'spam' or 'captcha', you need to stop them before they signup on your site, that is more effective in stopping bots.

I'll second that, I hardly get any spam despite getting 300+ visitors a day Some do try and sign up but thats as far as they get.

Search as snakes1100 says and install some of the anti spam mods and you'll be 3/4 of the way there.

Remember prevention is better than cure ~ Always ;)
