Spammers Denied Registration
 

Big problem with spammers.

Can there be a modification or a plugin that will query new registrations and if they are in the spam DB then registration is denied?

There are several sites with spammer databases that Vbulletin could be automaticaly updated from.

There are a few really bad spammers that are hitting forums all over the net. Most are from Saudi Arabia.

It tends to work a little too well. Some forum owners tend to report members as spammers when they really aren't. I admin a board that has very lax rules . We had installed this mod to keep out spam bots, but instead it also kept out actual people that wanted to be participating members. Due to other board owners reporting these people as spammers, these people were unable to register, therefore we had to remove the mod.
