Forum news bots

Hello,

I have seen on some websites people using 'forum bots' that automatically post news every hour or so. I run a music discussion forum, and it would be great if someone could tell me how i could get hold of a bot for the music industry news etc?

cheers

Hi Jamie

I'm pretty sure they are simply Feeds which then get converted into posts, I belive there are several mods which allow you to do this, but you'll need to do a search, unless someone posts a link?

;)

EDIT ~~~ Found it https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ight=rss+feeds

enjoy

Hi jamie, forgot to mention (Silly me) that you can do this yourself from the admin CP, paste your RSS url and the forum which yoiu want it to post. Its really easy mate.

best thing to do is play a bit with it and see what happens, you can't really go wrong, if you do press delete and start again, it won't mess things up in your admin CP

ADMINCP> RSS FEEDS> RSS Feed Manager

For my Business forum i took the rss feed from the BBC News it works great, I set up a new member to be the Newsreader :D

I'm sure this would work work for you

Take a look at mine http://www.ukbusinesslive.co.uk/foru...splay.php?f=48

Have Fun :D
