Bridge Vbulletin & phpmotion ?

Hello,

For my current project i am wondering if it is possible to bridge vbulletin & phpmotion, this would greatly improve my sites performance and will help from driving away visitors, cause if they have to have 2 different login's then im sure they will just go elsewhere.

Thanks in advance if anyone can answer this for me

Nearly anything is possible ;).

The only problematic issue would be lets say phpmotion doesn`t use the same password encryption method like vbulletin, but if you`re commited, a solution can be found :)

The easiest way is to modify one system to work with the other. So they all depend on vBulletin's database, or they all depend on PHPmotion's database.

Nice Idea!

Has anyone created a working solution to this question?

Last time I looked PHPMotion was encrypting their source code so working on it was not a viable option.

Only parts are encrypted. There is a member table in the database which includes the encrypted passwords. I haven't gone through all of the code, nor do I have the expertise to really do so, but it seems conceivable that one could use PHPmotion's registration and login system and adapt vBulletin to recognize it.

I'd be willing to throw a couple of dollars in if there are a few others who also want to split it, hire someone from here who knows their way around vBulletin, and release it to the public after it's created.

Any takers on either end?

I would be happy to donate for this mod. Phpmotion looks solid and nice. If there is no interest I'm going to pay for custom coding anyway. But it would be nice for the vb community to get a free version of this bridge/integration.

I would be happy to donate to this mod as well...
