Announcement Template Editing

Okay. I've been trying to do this for a while. I have two questions.

First Question is, I've been trying to change my websites announcement template from this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nouncement.jpg

To This:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nouncement.jpg

I don't like how everything is just blended into one big box..I want it seperated like that. That way, if there is more than one announcement, it will show up in a seperate row. If anyone could tell me how exactly to do that, I would be extremely happy.

The second question is, How exactly can I make a new page and put it in my navbar? Something like...Forum Rules etc?

You realize you can separate the announcements so they aren't all grouped together, right? vboptions > Forum Display Options (forumdisplay) > Group Announcements That won't make it look exactly how you show in the image, but you may be able to play with the threadbit_announcement template.

Read this article about making your own page - [How-To] vBulletin API Basics: Creating Custom Pages & Misc. Also in the article forum are articles on how to add links to your navbar.

That's what I've tried a few times...it still only shows one announcement at a time...which is why I ask. I don't get why it still doesn't group any of them...

Thank you for that link though. :)

Really? I just tried it on my site to see what it looks like (I like to group mine) and it showed them all separately. Try viewing them using a default style and see if they are separated (so we know if it's a style issue). You really need to be able to get them separated first before you go change the look of them.

I went to the vBulletin Default style and it still did that.

It won't separate them? I wonder if you have a modification that is perhaps interfering with it? Try disabling your plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

PHP Code:

define('DISABLE_HOOKS'true);
