Editor dropdown with a list of predefined links
 

I run a forum where users upload copyrighted pictures from a number of other sites. There is a requirement that they should put a link to the originating sites in their posts but posters barely do that.

I thought showing a dropdown of, say, 30 of the most popular sites in the editor, somewhere close to "insert link" button could help. A user picks a site name from the dropdown list and a certain code is inserted into editor window, for example:

How do i do that? Perhaps something like that has already been implemented, pls guide me in the right direction.

thanks, but this mod is not exactly what i need. I was looking for some easy way to add some text from a certain set of values in a dropdown box directly to a post text.

It should be similar to how smiles dropdown works, you pick a smile and it gets added to your edit window.

Perhaps another way it would work is that if someone makes a post with attachments, the forum software should prompt him to pick a site to which the pictures belong from the list and then displays that text somewhere in his post...
