Question on the logo design. Help

It sounds simple but if any one could help please
I am trying to insert my site logo. I know how to do this but the logo covers the entier top of the page. I would like to shrink it to a smaller size to the right of the page. I dont want it all the way across the top. There is an excellent post about how to expand a logo.

Could anyone please tell me how to shrink a logo
