Thinking about upgrading to 3.7.3

Lately I've been think about upgrading my VB 3.6.8 site to 3.7.3. Can someone point me in the right direction for info/instructions. I would imagine I would copy the new files up to the server and run the upgrade script however I do have some questions like 1. does the upgrade copy the nessary files to the existing directory structure ? Another question I had was can I go stright from 3.6.8 to 3.7.3 or do I need to go from 3.6.8 to 3.6.11 then to 3.7.3 ? If you guys can point in the right direction to get started my members and I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

PS I do have this Mod installed. GTUserCP - Enhanced USERCP Interface + USERCP Menu

vbulletin.com/docs ;)

when you run the upgrade, it will take you through each version

I'll be damned, reading the documentation works. Heres what I did. I made a copy of forum and database and made sure they worked, then upgaded the copy. That worked fairly well. I reverted all templates that VB said were different. I uninstalled my custom skin and reinstalled the 3.7 version. For the most part I'm pleased with the result. One thing I noticed was, when I go to the user control panel I get what looks like the old one and not the one with the "Your Profile" 'Networking" blocks. I know its not the skin I'm using it worked on a fresh install of 3.7 any suggestions ?

If it looks like the old 3.6-style profile, it has to be the style...

the user profile template had a lot of changes, you have to decide if you want to use the old version of the style, or having the new version - completely...

if that's the case, you have to "revert" the template called "memberinfo"

Well both of those are what I thought as well but the memberinfo template does not show as being able to be reverted....when I switch to the default template its the old version as well. Is there something I can reinstall ?
