Junior Moderator - is it possible?
 

I would like to start using moderators (Users from my forum) but would like to to see what they are like first as moderators.

we have moderation of all new posts for 2 posts at the momment.

I would like to continue to moderate all new post from users but allow the trial moderator to moderator users after they have gone through initial moderation.

Is it possible to have moderator permissions but can not see moderation queue until i maove them to full moderator.

Yes, you can. Add a junior mod group. Give this group the permissions that you want to add. Then when you add a junior moderator to a forum, make sure that you give the correct permissions per forum.

It's not optimal, since you can only decide to give 'manage threads' permission or not. This includes all dangerous thread related actions, like merging and deleting but also minor actions like open, close, approve, unapprove, stick, unstick and move.

I couldn't see anywhere that said "manage threads" in the usergroup permissions though i could be looking in the wrong area.
