Running a gaming forum is dangerous?

<a href="http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/newsheadlines/article-23560540-details/Man+in+court+over+gamer%27s+murder/article.do" target="_blank">http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/newshe...der/article.do</a>

It is suspected that a german man killed the administrator of a Gaming Forum after an online dispute.

Anyone can kill anyone, no forum owner is safe unless they don't know where you live.

* loves proxies *

Never give out your location on your forum, how could he have known where to find him without hacking him or Pyke saying "hey I live here". I have met people from online before but I never tell people my address.

Sad and scary, it's just a forum, and in his case it's just a damn game. It should never be the cause of a death. Ridiculous.

This is just plain life... internet, newspapers, anything... when you have the addy of someone, you can spy, kill, violate, anything...

Let me reiterate that I've met people and I did not kill, spy, or attack them. But I have done "other" things with them. * not going to go into detail on that * lol

Then vB.org Moderators must be one of the toughness & dangerous jobs in the world... with all those: 'gimme, gimme, gimme... I paid my license' :D

p.s. Don't forget the classic: 'They don't run this place as I want...'
