vbulletin.org attachments at low quality?

I noticed that a lot of addons attachments on this forum are at low quality, and even re-sized to a specific size. While this is understand to lower the bandwidth use (and or other reasons). This makes it very hard to view and read example. Possible this can be altered, increased or plugins to be installed so it can be previewed on the whole screen?

Link please to a thread where we can see what you mean.

lately, some coders attached screenshots that were originally in horrible quality and resized... it's not the fault of vb.org ...

Here are a few examples:

There are quite a few more, but if this is the users problem then do ignore me :p.

I just find it odd if this is really the users problem, that they can create mods, but can't submit high quality images. I have noticed a lot of threads have demo screenshots, but can't read the screenshots at all due to its quality. While screenies are important as well.

Those might have been resized. We have a limit of 1000 pixels wide for images, and this should be enough to post a decent screenshot. Seems this user is using a small font on his widescreen PC using a very high resolution. He makes screenshots that span the entire width of his screen.

But this is only in this case.

I see the limitation of 700 as well. Can't this be increased to 1024x768? Currently, a lot of coders pictures that they add is very low quality and I can't even see the images properly. While this is a mistake by the coder by making such big pictures, it would be great if vbulletin.org's size limitation can be increased.

The current limitation is 1000 x 750, so I dont know where 700 comes into it.

You hit the nail on the head. This is a mistake by the coder therefore it's entirely up to the person to provide a correctly formatted, correctly sized screenshot so members can clearly view what the screenshots look like.

People are responsible for their own mistakes/lack of knowledge not the guy next door.

Dimensions of all image attachment types have been increased slightly to 1024*768 to accomodate standard dimensions without resizing.
