General Modification Question/Opinion
I'm just wondering what your take is on using modifications that are no longer supported.
Would you as a site owner/forum owner still use them or recommend that they not be used since there is no support for them? |
If they work, who cares?

That would mean it's not working.

Having security issues doesn't mean it's not working...
Anyway, I don't use many modifications not coded by myself - but if I had to, I would be able to "support" the modification myself. If you are not able to code, then I would not suggest using them. |
This depends greatly on the situation:
- Are admins able to correct code themself? If yes, i don't see problem with using unsupported code. If not, i would stay away from it. - Is the modification an essential part of your website. If yes, i would not use an unsupported modification. |
