Points allocation

On my forum we are about to open (start at September 23) a challenge which will be awarded points, I need just a tool to assign points for users (no user edit) and display the amount in one page. I see there's vbcredit, but is too complex and is not in my case.

Is there already made one of this or somebody suggest how to dev?
