Trying to move the "Login form"/"User info" from breadcrumb to a side menu
 
I've installed the Ultimate Side menu mod and moved the Login/userinfo bit from the breadcrumb to the side column...but for some reason it never shows the userinfo part..just the login form. How come it works fine in navbar but not in any other template?

You need to make sure the information is available to you at the time the template is eval'd. You really should ask this question in the modification hack. Perhaps the answer is to just change the hook location, but you should check in that thread.
