So here I go. I was on someone's website the other day and notice he made it so his user's avatars would show a glare over the image. As if it was under glass. I did a screen capture to show you what mean

I notice the glare isn't on the image itself. It's like dynamically placed there after the page loads. I was wondering how this was done and if it was a template or plugin that allows this.
The other arrows are pointing to other possible hacks that have been added to his forum. Can someone point me to where I can find these?


Also I have a question about the template that comes with VB. The silver one used in the admincp to be more specific. I was wondering if I could apply this template to the regular forum if so where do I find it?

It looks like the avatar just has an opacity filter applied via css. See this page - http://www.mandarindesign.com/opacity.html

There is also an activity hack on there (search for "activity" "all mods" "titles only") and I can't remember the name of the one with the pop-up description.

the popup is contextual advertising.. contact adbrite if you want those (annoying) ads ;)

Oh, what about the silver template? Anyone?

The styles in the admin cp are totally different than the styles available for your forums. As far as I know, there is no silver style available that is the same as the admin cp. However, you may want to look through the Styles forums yourself (I don't download many styles so I'm not very familiar with them all).

Just for those who wants the same. Doesn't look like the one I have posted, but does the same thing. I guess he changed the graphic files.
