Where do I add in membership icons????

I've created two membership icons for paying individual and institutional community members on my forum, but I'm not sure how to add them in on the user identity. I'd like to display these icons just right of the user name. Would I use the HTML mark up under the user group to do this? I've seen this done on other board. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Create a Rank, then assign the user group the image. /images/yournewimage.gif

then you will need to update the members and ranks using that update process and away you go.

How do I upload the image there?

You would upload the image by using your ftp client - the same ftp client that you used to upload all your vbulletin files. The only difference is that you should upload images in Binary Mode whereas the text files should be uploaded in ASCII. Most ftp clients will automatically do this correctly though (but not all).

Using the same program you uploaded your vBulleting files with: FTP. I ususually put mine in the Ranks folder just to be orderly: /images/ranks/yournewimage.gif

Geez, Lynn. I appear to be stalking you.

Are you stalking me or am I stalking you, Digital Jedi?

If you are, your timing is impeccable.

Thanks guys I'll try this tonight.

Using the user rank image, where does the image display? I'm looking to put the image to the right of the user name. Will this do the trick?

:)

It depends on which postbit template you are using. If you are using the postbit_legacy (user info on the left), then the user rank image goes below the username.

I have a custom template running as my skin. I guess I'll just have to put it in and see what happens :)
