Users on a non-vbulletin page

how can i make it so that users can login to vbulletin on a non-vbulletin page
and also have the # of active users displayed on a non-vbulletin page

Follow one of these articles for making your own non-vb page: How to create your own vBulletin-powered page! (uses vB templates) or [How-To] vBulletin API Basics: Creating Custom Pages & Misc.

And then, after you have that page up and working, see this article on how to modify it to add Currently Active Users - Adding Currently Active Users to your own vB page
