Favicon?
Can anyone offer me any advice on how to install a favicon to the webaddress of a forum? Where do I put the code, and where do I install the picture?
|
Just replce the default ./favicon.ico with your own.

Also be aware that browsers can be quite tempermental when it comes to favicon.ico - You may find it won't update straight away for you or your users. Sometimes you need to do a full refresh (Ctrl+F5). Sometimes I've found that I actually need to directly view the favicon.ico and reload it that way (so www.domain.com/favicon.ico) before the browser gets wise.

I don't have one; must have gotten rid of it a long time ago.
Can you be a bit more specific? Where would I find this, if it was there, and where should I store the image? Thanks. |
Just put it in your forum root (where your index.php is) under the name of favicon.ico
The Default vBulletin download comes with one if you need an example. |
Do a google search for "how to add own favicon" or something similar. There are already tons of tutorials out there for this, this isn't a vBulletin specific thing.
